We traveled with her and Chet to China in 1999. When you first left for China she sent your blog website to us, but we were busy and didn't read it. When the earthquake happened, I went back to her info about your website and immediately started reading about the quake from your point of view.

Your writing style is so real, that Dave and I each went back and read your complete blog from the first entry. It brought back MANY MEMORIES and made us laugh and sigh and nod our heads over many of your comments.

What a marvelous experience you are having. And how brave of you to completely immerse yourself in a culture so different from your own. You are a real inspiration in a time when it is so important for us as Americans to learn how other people are different and yet the same as we are.

We have young grandchildren—the oldest in 5th grade. I plan on sharing your blog with them, to plant the seeds of adventure possibilites with them. Thank you so much for sharing your writings!!
ArdethAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8915394630425038686.post-64255204485899108222008-05-19T14:43:00.000-04:002008-05-19T14:43:00.000-04:00Hi Will, thanks for starting up this blog and shar...Hi Will, thanks for starting up this blog and sharing your adventures with us! I'm a UF student too, in journalism. I saw that you won't be posting anything else about the earthquake, but I would love to do a story about your blog and your experiences in China- not just the earthquake. It'd be more of a personality profile than a news article. If you would be willing to answer a few questions, please give me a call anytime or just send an email. I have a facebook too, if that works for you! Thanks again!

Madeline Dube
mai3173@hotmail.com
(305)788-4854Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
